  • A/Prof Vinod Ganju

    MBBS FRACP Medical Oncologist & Clinical Haematologist

    A/Prof Vinod Ganju graduated in Medicine at the University of Western Australia. He pursued his interest in Medical Oncology with post-graduate training in Perth and subsequently completed a Fellowship in Haematology and Oncology at the Mayo Clinic in the USA. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as well as being an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Medical Oncology Group of Australia, The Haematology Society of Australia & New Zealand, European Society of Medical Oncology and the American Association for Cancer Research.

    A/Prof Ganju treats a broad range of cancers and has been consulting on the Peninsula for over 20 years. As the Managing Director of Peninsula and Southeast Oncology (PASO) and previous Medical Director of the Peninsula Oncology Centre, A/Prof Ganju has passionately coordinated and contributed to the growth in oncology-related services on the Mornington Peninsula; particularly with his role as co-developer of the purpose-built day hospital, Frankston Private.

    A/Prof Ganju is keenly involved in both national and international research groups where clinicians can collaborate on various clinical trials and research programs. At PASO, A/Prof Ganju is the principal investigator for PASO’s many clinical trials, with research interests being predominantly Lung and Breast Cancer.

    A/Prof Ganju also consults at both Rosebud and East Bentleigh consulting rooms on a fortnightly basis.

  • Dr Sanjeev Sewak

    MBBS FRACP Medical Oncologist

    Dr Sanjeev Sewak graduated from Melbourne University with an MBBS. He then trained in Internal Medicine and later Medical Oncology and received his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

    He is an active member of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia, Victorian Clinical Oncology Group, Australian and New Zealand Urological Prostate Group, Australian and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

    Dr Sewak spent two years in New York, USA dedicating his time to post-graduate research and training in Oncology at New York University Medical Centre in Manhattan.

    On returning to Australia he worked in, Sydney, Wollongong and Geelong before joining PASO in 2009 as a consultant Medical Oncologist. Dr Sewak also works at Peninsula Health and has a broad range of experience in all tumour types. His research interests include Genitourinary Malignancy and Lung and Breast cancers. He has also been a Lead Investigator in a number of studies involving Prostate, Renal and Bladder cancers at both PASO and Peninsula Health

  • Dr Min-Ne Wu

    MBBS FRACP Medical Oncologist

    Dr Min-Ne Wu graduated in Medicine at Monash University in Melbourne. She then developed her passion for Pharmacological and Oncological medicine by furthering her studies in the two fields. She underwent post-graduate training in Clinical Pharmacology at Austin Health, and then in Medical Oncology at Royal Hobart Hospital and Monash Medical Centre. Dr Wu then completed a Fellowship in Oncology at Monash Medical Centre, from which she then established herself as a Medical Oncologist.

    She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, a member of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

    Dr Wu has been a member of the PASO team since 2006 as a consultant Medical Oncologist and is keenly interested in the management of cancers of the Breast, Lung, Prostate and Gastrointestinal Tract, and participates in clinical research of these areas. She has also been the lead investigator at PASO for a number of clinical trials in Melanoma.

  • Dr Jo Lundy

    MBBS FRACP Medical Oncologist

    Dr Lundy graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in 2007. She then came to Melbourne and completed her basic physician training at Monash Health, before training as a Medical Oncologist via the Victorian Medical Oncology Training Program.

    Dr Lundy subsequently gained fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is an active member of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

    Dr Lundy works as the Clinical Research Fellow in the Monash Health Translation Precinct, predominantly in early phase clinical trials and joined PASO Medical in 2016 as a consultant Medical Oncologist.

  • Dr Ramin Behzadigohar

    MD FRACP Medical Oncologist

    Dr. Ramin Behzadigohar is a Medical Oncologist and senior lecturer at Oceania University of Medical Sciences. He graduated from medical school with an M.D. degree in 2006 and completed his training in medical oncology through Victorian Medical Oncology Training Group, gaining valuable experience at major teaching hospitals such as St Vincent’s Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital, and Monash Medical Centre.

    Dr Behzadigohar has been Principal investigator and Sub investigator of over 50 oncology clinical trials and published articles in reputable journals.

    Dr. Behzadigohar is an active member of professional associations, including the Medical Oncology Group of Australia, Clinical Oncology Society of Australia, American Society of Medical Oncology, European Society of Medical Oncology, and Royal Australian College of Physicians.

    Dr Behzadigohar joined PASO Medical in 2017 as a consultant Medical Oncologist with special interests in gastrointestinal, breast and genitourinary cancers.

  • A/Prof Muhammad Alamgeer

    A/Prof Muhammad Alamgeer

    MBBS MRCP FRACP MD Medical Oncologist

    A/Prof Muhammad Alamgeer is a Medical Oncologist and clinical researcher specialising in solid tumours. He completed his basic medical training in UK and his training in medical oncology with the Royal Australian College of Physicians. He subsequently completed a doctorate degree at Monash University, where his area of research was cancer stem cells. A/ Prof Alamgeer is experienced in managing patients with a wide range of tumours. He is a visiting medical oncologist at Monash Health, where he leads Lung, Head and Neck and Skin Cancer Streams. He was instrumental in establishing the Head and Neck and Melanoma clinics at Monash and in collaboration with his surgical and radiation oncology colleagues established multidisciplinary team meetings.

    A/Prof. Alamgeer is a keen researcher and is an investigator on a large number of clinical trials in at Monash and PASO. Several trials he was involved in resulted in change of practice. He plays a major role in several stages of clinical trial conduct, including protocol development, investigator meetings, patient recruitment and management on trials , safety and steering committee involvement. In addition to this he has held clinical associate position at the Centre for Cancer Research at The Hudson Institute and has been collaborating with research groups on various pre-clinical projects, with a focus on bio-marker discovery.

    He received research grants for his research projects in Mesothelioma where he is investigating transcriptomic changes in tumour microenvironment in response to immunotherapy. His research has led to scholarly publications in top tier journals and has so far resulted in over 40 peer review publications. Several other collaborative projects are being conducted at various stages.

    A/Prof. Alamgeer is an active member of the Thoracic Oncology Group of Australia (TOGA), the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He also chairs Cancer Trials Australia, Lung Cancer group.

  • Dr Shafaet Jamil

    MBBS DipGrad (University of Dunedin) FRACP

    Dr Shafaet Jamil is an Australian trained Physician. His sub-speciality is Medical Oncology.

    Dr Jamil underwent Basic physician Training in Queensland and advanced training in Medical Oncology in Victoria.

    He was trained in Peninsula Health, Monash Medical Centre, and 1 Year of fellowship at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

    After many years in public system at Gippsland, Dr Jamil is now focused on Cancer care and as a General medicine Physician at St John of God Hospital Berwick, Mulgrave Private Hospital and South Eastern Private Hospital.

    Dr Jamil is a compassionate and patient focused physician and strongly believes in holistic approach.

    He emphasises on patient education and involving patient’s carer in their cancer journey.

    Dr Jamil has special interest in Immunotherapy and completed a year-long Diploma at University of Dunedin, New Zealand.

    He is happy to discuss cases with GPs and other specialists over the phone and happy to consult both insured and non- insured patients.

    Dr Jamil is involved in Global Patient education via Planetary Heath Academia (PHA) and participates in regular educational webinars.

    He is a member of international societies ie ASCO, ESMO, COSA etc. He also a member of Multidisciplinary Teams at St John of God Berwick and ICON cancer centre at Mulgrave Private Hospital.
