Consultations

Consultation Fees are required to be paid on the day of your visit. Please enquire with the reception staff about your consultant’s individual billing information. Rebates can be lodged electronically on the day of your visit. General consultations may incur an out of pocket fee. On treatment days, consultations are covered through your Health Fund (DVA for Gold Card Holders)

DVA Entitlements

Veterans’ Affairs patients may be eligible to have transport arranged through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. Please ask our reception staff to assist if you require this service, or any other information on services you may require.

Self-Insured Patients

Self-insured patients who are admitted to the Frankston Private Hospital are required to pay the hospital’s account on the day of admission.

Private Health Insurance

PASO Medical has agreements in place with major health funds. It is important you provide us with your Health Fund Information at your initial consultation so that we may assist you with any inclusions.

This means if you require treatment, the following costs may generally be covered by your health fund:

• Your consultation on the day of the treatment

• Your admission and treatment costs at the Hospital (health fund co-payments, excesses and exclusions associated with your particular level of insurance are exceptions to this)

• Your basic tests and procedures such as pathology and radiology on the day of treatment (some exclusions may apply)

For your convenience, payment can be made via credit card, eftpos. We do not accept Cash Payments.

• Discharge medications

• Non-PBS treatments

• Some specialized radiology tests and procedures
